Brief History
of the Kama Sutra |

Of
all the material written on all matters sex, the Kama Sutra is
the most influential and spellbound, no doubt about it. Wrote
by Vatsyayana Mallanaga circa 320 Ad - pertaining to the classic
Hindu period, in a state of chastity and contempletion (whatever
that means, for little is known of him).
The Kama Sutra is a collection of treatises on teaching-books
and discourses themes of traditions. The whole handed down by
word of mouth as literate were few and far to be found.
The Kama Sutra, historically, came to a lot of flak, which tarnished
its value as literary work. Owing to mishandling it was perceived
as merely a list of sexual positions being employed as pretext
to notably then sell books containing callous pornography.
Truly, the Kama Sutra is an important piece of work on the human
sexuality, tutoring lovers in the art of seduction, as in flirting
and how to conduct a conversation with a partner in the courtship,
and the diverse kissing techniques amongst others.
It received its major English translation in 1883. At which time,
sir Richard Burton an English army officer ( known as the Indianist
) sophisticated it to shoehorn it into the Victorian prudish.
However unconventional some customs might seem, its swiftly uncontrived
way of perceiving the sexual culture, conversely to the boastful
and opinionated of modern erotica, let alone its pornographic
counterparts, has fascinated peoples from all walks of life up
until today.
